“Wet, Weary and Woesome”
Wet, Weary and Woesome” - acrylics and spray paints, multiple layers on birch panel attached to plywood. Carved out, then repainted in some detail. Framed. Gloss finish. 12”w x 12”t.
I noticed I haven’t used my wood cut tools for awhile so I decided to take a piece of birch panel and keep giving it coats of paint, mostly shades of whites as well as a few random coats of yellows, blues and reds, then a coat of black to see how a carving would come out. I added some color at the end to give it a bit more balance, but you can see in the detail shots that you can see a lot of the layering throughout the whole piece. This was a fun experiment.
